National Park Barbilla

It is an area that has high water production, of vital interest for the supply of drinking water to neighboring communities. It borders the Chirripó Indigenous Reserve and is an integral part of the territories declared by UNESCO as La Amistad Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site.

Río Pacuare

With a length of 133 km, it is born in the Cuericí hills in the Talamanca mountain range, at 3000 masl, descends through the mountains to the plains of the Central Caribbean, in the province of Limón, and empties into the Caribbean Sea, between Boca del Parismina and the Urpiano lagoon, near the Matina River.

Tortuguero National Park

Tortuguero National Park is a protected wild area of Costa Rica, located in the north of the Caribbean coast. Its beaches are protected areas for the nesting of sea turtles (including green turtles in danger of extinction). It is possible to navigate with boats or canoes the freshwater lakes and streams of the park, where spectacled alligators and river turtles live.

Puerto Viejo

Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is a town in southeastern Costa Rica located on the Caribbean coast. It is famous for the practice of surfing in Salsa Brava and for Playa Negra, whose sand is of that color. At the Jaguar Rescue Center, wild cats and other animals are rehabilitated.

Playa Negra

Known for its world class waves and its breaks, Playa Negra is a surfer's paradise. Famous for being the place where the film was shot, "Endless Summer II", this beach is located along the northwest region of Guanacaste on the North Pacific coast.

Playa Chiquita

The quiet Chiquita Beach is a favorite of those who want to relax on the fine sand and in the beautiful waters surrounded only by nature. There are several small bays so you may be able to find your own little beach with no one else in sight. There is more privacy because there is no road to access the beach, you have to walk a short distance on one of several trails.

Playa Manzanillo

Located in the Province of Limón, Canton of Talamanca. Take the road that connects Puerto Viejo and other beaches in this sector, the road ends in Manzanillo. It is also known as Playa Grande.
